CUSTOM RIFLES

*PLEASE NOTE*
All rifles pictured on this site are custom rifles built for individual clients specifically for their own needs, uses and budget. We do not stock rifles on hand, but build rifles on order to each client’s particular specifications. We also do custom conversions. We will be glad to build a rifle custom tailored to your needs, desires and budget. A rifle may be built similar to any of the rifles depicted or may be totally different. If you do not see something on this site that you wish, that does not mean it cannot be built. Please inquire.
The rifles pictured here are just a small sampling of the rifles Randy has built over the years. Each rifle, depending on components, will be individually priced at the time of the order.
All orders must have a minimum of 60% down to start the order and the balance will be due prior to the completion of the rifle. The time frame for that balance will depend on each individual order and turnaround time.
Occasionally a rifle will be placed on the site for sale. In that case it will be noted that the rifle is for sale and a price will accompany the picture and description of the rifle.

Randy's Custom Rifles are top of the line rifles, built to exacting standards, tight tolerances and extensive testing. This individual attention to each facet of each custom order places the finished product far above the average store bought rifle. As a result he has many repeat customers. One has even had over 20 custom rifles made by Randy in the last two decades.
Randy has been a gunsmith and tool and die maker, machinist since 1969. He has a strong work ethic backed by the learning experience from many of the top experts in the field over the years, a formal education with an Associates Degree in Applied Sciences with a major in Gun Smithing and a lifetime experience hunting using the rifles he has built. He has also been on many hunts where rifles he has built have been used to successfully bring down big game with one shot. He prides himself on the accuracy and durability of his rifles, while maintaining a very pleasing aesthetic look.
A custom firearm is a life long investment and will be a pleasure to use and to pass on as an heirloom someday. Randy works with each client to come up with the exact rifle needed to meet the needs, desires, performance for an individual fit. All rifles are finished, in and out, to the highest standard, with custom checkering, done on site. Depending on the desires of the client a custom hard wood, or composite stock will be custom built for a "hand in glove" fit, or a top of the line fiberglass stock can be used for those wishing to go that way, with custom detailing and modifying to suit the particular needs of each client.
While most rifles will shoot 1/2" or better groups, others may not, but will shoot under 7/8". This is more because of the components chosen than the accuracy of the rifle, in bullets most particularly. As in any situation, there are manufacturing tolerances and while the rifle is up to it, the tolerance of some bullets may not be. That is why we find that a good discussion of the type of components you expect to use, and our recommendations is a very good starting point for the basis of a very accurate custom rifle.
We feel this shop is unique because of the experience I bring to each custom rifle. Not only do I have extensive experience in building custom rifles, but because of my training with Les Bowman and all of my own work and data, we can offer custom work up loads to give optimal performance. Further, Randy's experience and training in the field of tool and die making, machinist bring qualifications not found in many shops. He is also experienced in engineering and design.

Our youngest son, Landon, has been flintknapping since 1991 at the age of 13, when he started his own business. By the time he was 16 he began selling knives to A. G. Russell Knife Catalog, which expanded later to include Russell's for Men Catalog. You can order your own custom made obsidian flintknapped knives, with a variety of antler, horn or wood handles by contacting Landon at 307-899-4670. Each knife is an individual work of the finest craftmanship. Above is just one sample of the fine work he does. |
