The 7MM-.404 Wapiti Express is one of the finest long range rifle and cartridge ever developed with kinetic energy values necessary to take game at extreme ranges with one shot. Including this rifle, as well as the original rifle built using this cartridge, in the mid-1980's, and rifles built for clients, there have been hundreds of head of game taken with one shot with this proprietary cartridge.

Some time ago it came to our attention that a 7MM-.404 Wapiti Express built for an individual, has been pictured on the home page and LRH page of The Best of the West/Gunwerks web site. It was also for sale under their used rifle page. Unfortunately, there was misinformation about the rifle on that page, and inquiries also were given incorrect information. The Best of the West/Gunwerks are not, nor never have, built the 7MM.-404 Wapiti Express [or as they list it, 7MM-.404 Express]. The only source for this rifle and caliber is at this shop, Randy's Custom Rifles, designed and built by Randy Selby. This master gunsmith and this shop is not associated with The Best of the West company, nor it's affiliates.
